As the entry point to Somerville’s growing life science cluster, Boynton Gateway was designed to attract top tenants while honoring the character of Union Square. The challenge was to create a brand that communicated cutting-edge purpose-built specifications while authentically connecting to the neighborhood’s culture of creativity and progress.

Our concept, Merging Life and Science, highlights how innovation and community continually shape each other. Inspired by Somerville’s history of ingenuity, the brand identity for Boynton Gateway celebrates the intersection of science and daily life — where paths cross, ideas connect, and progress takes shape.

Through a visual system that balances precision with vibrancy, the brand positions Boynton Gateway as more than just a lab space: it is a highly connected destination that draws talent, fosters discovery, and contributes to the city’s transformative energy — both a cutting-edge workplace and a vital part of Somerville’s evolving cultural and scientific landscape.
